Location & Travel

We are located 2 kilometres from the medieval town of Duras, Lot et Garonne, France with its restaurants, bars, market and grand chateau. We are situated 35 kms south west of Bergerac, 35 minutes from Bergerac airport and 70 kms east of Bordeaux, 1 hour 15 minutes from Bordeaux airport with flights from many UK and worldwide destinations. We are 40 minutes from Libourne railway station with TGV links to Eurostar.

Air

Bergerac Airport is served with flights operated by RyanAir and Flybe from Edingburgh, East Midlands, London Stansted, Southampton, Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds Bradford, Exeter & Nottingham.

Bordeaux Airport is served by routes from locations throughout Europe and beyond including Amerstadam, Brussels, London Gatwick, London Stansted, London Luton, Manchester, Birmingham, Southampton, Bristol, Norwich and Dublin. These routes are flown by British Airways, Air France, KLM, Aer Lingus, Bmibaby, Flybe, Easyjet and others.

Rail

For those of you who prefer to let the train take the strain, TGV Trains serve Bordeaux and Libourne. Paris is only 3 Hours away, whilst London St. Pancras via the Eurostar is only 6 hours 45 minutes.

Road

We are 6 hours drive from the cross channel ferry ports of Saint Malo, Caen and Le Harve or 7 hours from Cherbourg. Cross channel operators to these ports include Brittany Ferries, Condor Ferries, LD Lines and Irish Ferries. Alternatively you may wish to us the Channel Tunnel via Eurotunnel.

Transfers

We are able to arrange taxis/transport for our guests to and from the airports of Bergerac and Bordeaux, as well as to the train stations of Marmande, Libourne, and Bordeaux. For a group transfer in our vehicle, there is a charge of 25 euros per person.

Car Hire

Alternatively you may wish to hire a car upon your arrival in France. Operators who hire cars from the local airports and main line stations include Avis, Hertz, Budget and Eurocar.

Please do not book travel immediately as we will need a certain number of people to run the retreat. We will advise as soon as we have the requisite number.
